Miguel Macías

Full-stack and Android developer in Málaga

Angular, Spring Boot and Kotlin, with payments, tests and deployment. Now moving into AI and data.

I'm looking for an internship or my first job in Málaga or remote.

Projects

Illo Un Campero

Final-year project, in a team of three

Home page of Illo Un Campero, with a campero sandwich and the Order now button

Online ordering platform for local restaurants: an Angular web app, a Spring Boot API and an Android app, with Stripe payments.

My part: I built the backend and the REST API, the initial design of the web app and a small part of the Android app, plus the documentation and the final presentation.

Technical decisions

  • We moved authentication from Firebase to Supabase because it was easier to work with. The migration is documented in the repository.
  • The API is protected with a Supabase JWT filter, rate limiting and security headers.
  • The API is documented with Swagger/OpenAPI and covered by service tests.
  • Angular
  • Spring Boot
  • Java 21
  • Kotlin
  • Supabase
  • Stripe

The first load of the demo can take up to a minute.

Mainake XXI

Website for a real client

Home page of the Mainake XXI website, with a bar counter in the background

Website for a drinks distributor in Málaga, built end to end: design, development, content, SEO and going live.

My part: The whole project, from design to deployment.

Technical decisions

  • A static site with Next.js (static export), with no server to maintain.
  • Technical and local SEO, with Schema.org structured data (JSON-LD).
  • I also built a version with an online shop (Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Zod, Zustand, Vitest and GitHub Actions). The client preferred to keep the site without a shop, which is the one in production.
  • Next.js 15
  • React 19
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Technical and local SEO
  • JSON-LD

Point Counter

Personal app

Point Counter scoreboard on a watch, showing 30 to 15 in the game

Padel and tennis scoreboard for Wear OS and Android. No ads and no account.

Technical decisions

  • The rules engine lives in its own module, shared between the watch and the phone, and is tested separately.
  • Automated tests for the scoring rules and for the apps, run with CI on GitHub Actions.

Result: It is not on Google Play yet, because I don't have a developer account. The code and the installation instructions are on GitHub.

  • Kotlin
  • Jetpack Compose
  • Wear OS

Other work

  • Pomodoro Timer Pomodoro timer for Android, built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Lead generation with n8n An automated workflow that gets potential clients from Google Maps, normalises and classifies them, messages them through Meta with different messages and classifies them again based on their reply.
